Ministry of Economy and Kyndryl Mexico launch digital skills program for MSMEs / @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- The Ministry of Economy and Kyndryl Mexico launched the Digital Education program to help women, young people, indigenous Mexican communities, as well as micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) learn about and use digital tools and processes to foster sustainable economic growth.

In Mexico, MSMEs are an important driver of the economy, accounting for more than 52 percent of the Gross Domestic Product and generating more than 70 percent of the country’s jobs.

According to «El Diagnóstico Digital PyMEs Mexicanas 2024», published by the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur), MSMEs that have implemented digital processes increased their number of customers by up to 20 percent, however, only 15 percent have an effective digital strategy.

Through this collaboration, the Secretariat and Kyndryl will offer a free in-person workshop in Mexico City, highlighting best practices and case studies on modernization and digitization, use of the cloud, data preparation for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence, as well as cybersecurity and resilience.

There will also be five virtual trainings on the Ministry of Economy’s Facebook page, so that more MSMEs acquire vital skills to thrive in the digital economy and foster inclusive and sustainable economic development.
