More than 300 elements of Citizen Security will participate in integral operation for the Day of the Cave / @GuanajuatoGob >>>

#Guanajuato, #Gto.- More than 300 elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security will join the comprehensive operation that will be implemented between July 30 and 31 on the occasion of the Day of the Cave 2024, said the mayor of Guanajuato Capital, Alejandro Navarro.

In order to guarantee a safe ascent to the top of the Bufa hill, personnel from the Preventive Police, the Road Police, the Mounted Police, the Fiscalization Directorate and the Civil Protection area will participate in this operation, enlisted Navarro.

«Already all the operative areas are ready to deploy the operation that guarantees the peaceful development of the festivity, not only on the same day 31 (of July), but from a day before», said the municipal secretary of Citizen Security, Samuel Ugalde. The operation begins at noon on Tuesday 30 and concludes during the night of July 31.

The Secretary of Citizen Security added that the Volunteer Fire Department, the Municipal Fire System (SIMUB) and the General Directorate of Public Services will reinforce the operation with their incorporation.

Regarding the installation of merchants in the esplanade of the Cerro del Hormiguero, Ugalde pointed out that, as of this Thursday, July 25, there are already more than 230 in the list prepared by the Fiscalization area.

The festivity of the Day of the Cave will be celebrated this Wednesday, July 31 and dates back 408 years, when the city of Guanajuato adopted San Ignacio de Loyola as its patron saint by popular decision.
