#SE.- As part of the actions promoted by Mexico’s Industrial Policy, the Ministry of Economy will hold the first edition of the «MSMEs in Value Chains: High-Tech Medical Devices» Business Roundtable on August 13 and 14, 2024, where these companies will have the opportunity to hold face-to-face business meetings with leaders of large companies in this sector at a global level.
This Business Roundtable arises from the initiative of the US Mexico – CEO Dialogue, a space in which the participation of Mexican micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in value chains is encouraged as a mechanism to attract greater investment.
The Undersecretary of Industry and Trade, Othón Valverde, emphasized that the Ministry of Economy designs and implements an Industrial Policy aimed at articulating the efforts of all economic actors towards a model that promotes equitable growth and national content, in the context of relocation.
For this reason, it is essential to consolidate the participation of MSMEs in supply chains, since these roundtables offer these companies the opportunity to contact and do business with world-leading companies in the medical device sector.
Leading companies such as GE HealthCare, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Baxter, Intuitive Surgical, Thermo Fisher, Sonova and Becton Dickinson will meet to look for Mexican MSME suppliers in the fields of high-level mechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, mechanized assembly, casting, machining and plastic molding, and metals, extrusions and electronic components, among others.
