SICT offers road alternatives due to Tepoztlán-Cuernavaca highway construction closure / @jorgenunol @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) informs of the road alternatives due to the total closure of the Tepoztlán-Cuernavaca section, which has been in effect since last Monday, August 19 and will remain until September 26 of this year, due to the works to conclude the adaptation of the Entronque “A Cuautla” at kilometer 70+500 of the Mexico-Cuernavaca Highway.

It is worth mentioning that the Mexico-Cuernavaca and Mexico-Cuautla routes, as well as the Cuernavaca-Cuautla and Cuautla-Tepoztlán routes, remain open to vehicular traffic in both directions.

The cut to traffic, 24 hours a day, is from the “Tepoztlán” toll plaza, kilometer 7+500 to kilometer 0+000 (Entronque “A Cuautla”), in the direction of the capital of the state of Morelos.

This is the only closed stretch in the Tepoztlán-Cuernavaca direction from the toll booth.

The small delays on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway, no longer than 10 minutes, are due to the controlled crossing of heavy machinery.

The La Pera-Cuautla junction is part of the modernization of the La Pera-Cuautla highway, which allows users to save more than 30 minutes in travel time and benefits more than 900,000 inhabitants. It will also provide road safety for the region’s tourist and commercial areas.
