Sectur and Morelos strengthen tourism activity with its Magical Towns and new units of Green Angels / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Also accompanied by the Secretary of Tourism and Culture of Morelos, Julieta Goldzweig Cornejo, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) presented the municipal authorities with the updated Magical Towns designations for Tepoztlán and Tlayacapan.

He informed that Morelos has four Magical Towns, in 4 municipalities of the entity, with a population of 200,333 inhabitants, that is, 10.2% of the state’s population, according to the last population and housing census. There are also 1,343 economic units related to tourism, which employ 4,536 people.

Income from the supply of goods and services amounted to 457 million pesos, which gives an average annual income per economic unit of 340,283 pesos, which is the importance of the Magical Towns for the state’s economy.

Torruco Marqués pointed out that last year Tetelcingo was awarded the Magical Town designation, a distinction that contributes to the diversification of the state’s tourist offer.
