Mexico and Bolivia hold the VIII Meeting of the Permanent Binational Commission / @SRE_mx >>>
#SRE.- The Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, Laura Elena Carrillo Cubillas, and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Esteban Elmer Catarina Mamani, co-chaired the VIII Meeting of the Mexico-Bolivia Permanent Binational Commission on August 20.
At the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), the delegations analyzed the bilateral relationship and reaffirmed cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, cultural and consular fields.
They also highlighted the results of the meetings of the subcommittee on Political Affairs and the subcommittee on Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs, held on August 12, as well as the virtual session of the Working Group on Migration and Consular Affairs, which took place on August 13.
The delegations agreed to promote the VI Meeting of the Committee for Cooperation against Drug Trafficking and Drug Addiction and the III Meeting of the Joint Commission for Educational and Cultural Cooperation, in addition to making progress in concluding negotiations on legal instruments.
Mexico and Bolivia also celebrated the creation of the Gender Sub-Commission, which aims to deepen the exchange of experiences, advance towards parity, eradicate gender violence and develop depatriarchalization policies, as well as define actions and joint work in multilateral organizations. The subcommission is an innovative mechanism that seeks to narrow the opportunity and development gaps faced by women in the two countries.
