#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico (CODHEM) and the Municipality of Tecámac signed a collaboration agreement together with 30 civil associations, in order to promote and guarantee the respect of individual guarantees, especially that of equality among people.
During the event in which the president of that body, Araceli García Morón, participated, the mayor by operation of law, Rocío Miguel Hernández, emphasized that this act symbolizes the firm commitment to the promotion, protection and defense of human rights, which are the basis of a just and equitable society.
“These are the principles that guide our actions and decisions as public servants. Today more than ever it is essential that we strengthen our commitment to values, ensuring that every person in our municipality can live with dignity, freedom and with respect. Tecámac has been different because of its public policies and good results in the area of human rights,” he said.
García Morán, recognized the public policies that the municipal government has promoted in terms of equality in the last five years, as well as the progressive trend in the recognition of human rights.
He specified that there are few municipalities that have established the four obligations in the matter as established in the Constitution, which are to protect, promote, guarantee and respect human rights, and Tecámac -particularly- has known how to apply them.
