Sectur and Puebla strengthen tourism with new Green Angels units / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Also accompanied by the Secretary of Tourism of Puebla, Marta Teresa Ornelas Guerrero, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) mentioned that in order to optimize the daily work of the “guardians of the roads” in the entity, the federal Ministry of Tourism and the Government of Puebla, delivered 14 new units of Green Angels, 7 provided by federal Sectur and 7 by the state government.

These units are equipped with air conditioning and a satellite locator linked to the Geointelligence Center, as well as all the necessary tools to provide mechanical service on the road.

He indicated that currently Angeles Verdes operates in Puebla with 23 elements and 13 active vehicular units, giving priority coverage to 18 highway routes, which comprise 1,755 kilometers, round trip, with an average daily capacity of 29,125 vehicles in high season.

The company is present in 55 municipalities, 7 Magical Towns and 42 tourist attractions. In 2023, 13,614 tourists were assisted in 4,746 assistance services.

He said that, with this new vehicle fleet, it is estimated to provide around 4,502 services per year, benefiting 15,323 tourists, in a route of approximately 550,000 kilometers, representing an increase of 39% in services, 34% in tourists assisted and 39% in kilometers traveled, with respect to that registered in 2023.
