87 teachers from Mexico receive the “Recognition for Educational Practice 2024” from USICAMM / @Edomex >>>
#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Unit of the System for the Careers of Teachers (USICAMM) awarded 127 “Recognitions for Educational Practice 2024”, 87 of which went to teachers from the State of Mexico; the rest were awarded to teachers from the states of Michoacán, Querétaro, Hidalgo and Mexico City.
At the “Elisa Carrillo” Theater of the Centro Cultural Mexiquense Bicentenario (CCMB), in Texcoco, around one thousand teachers from the aforementioned states attended the “Forum for the Exchange of Experiences”, held as part of the third edition of this award, which was created in 2022 to highlight the work of teachers in the development of innovative practices and strategies in the face of the COVID-19 contingency.
Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation in the entity, made a special recognition to the 87 award-winning Mexican teachers, highlighting their creativity and effort to apply innovative pedagogical strategies.
“This distinction reflects the deep commitment they have with their students and with the educational model that we are strengthening together in the second year of implementation of the New Mexican School,” said Hernández Espejel.
He underscored the support of the Government of the State of Mexico, headed by Maestra Delfina Gómez Álvarez, who has placed education as the main axis of her administration, under the motto “The Power to Serve”.
Carlos Ramírez Sámano, Undersecretary of Higher Secondary Education of the SEP, on behalf of its head, Leticia Ramírez Amaya, highlighted the magnitude of the educational transformation that the country is going through. “Mexico is undergoing a transformation in education that has not been seen in more than 50 years. This is not only an educational reform, it is a transformation that seeks to form citizens committed to their country,” she declared.
Ramírez Sámano highlighted the challenges faced by higher secondary education, especially in the retention of adolescents, assuring that improving these rates is fundamental to guarantee the integral and full development of young people.
