More than 13 million international tourists arrive in Mexico by air according to their nationality during January-July 2024 / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) said that according to information from the Migratory Policy Unit-Registration and Identity of Persons of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), the main countries in international tourist arrivals by air to Mexico according to their nationality in the first seven months of the year were: the United States, Canada and Colombia with 10 million 977 thousand tourists, this is 5.6% more compared to the same period of 2023; also exceeding with 29.2% the tourists of the same period of 2019.

He specified that the arrival of U.S. tourists from January to July 2024 by air, was 8 million 922 thousand tourists, this is 5.8% more than the same period of 2023, and also surpassing with 34.2% the arrivals during January-July 2019.

He added that the arrival of Canadian tourists in the first seven months of the year was one million 695 thousand tourists, this represents 9.7% more than the same period of 2023, also surpassing with 11.4% the tourists captured in January-July 2019.

Likewise, he stated that, from January to July 2024, the arrival of Colombian tourists by air was 360 thousand 249 tourists, surpassing with 10.1% more the arrivals of the same period of 2019. He indicated that the rest of the nationalities accounted for 2 million 855 thousand tourists, with a market share of 20.6%.

Torruco Marqués informed that, during the first seven months of the year, the airports with the highest arrival of international tourists by air were Cancun, AICM and Los Cabos, with 10 million 180 thousand tourists, that is 0.3% more than the same period of 2023, also surpassing with 12.4% the arrivals of the same period of 2019.
