President commemorates 214th Anniversary of the Cry of Independence and 5th Anniversary of the National Guard in Civic Military Parade / @GobiernoMX >>>
#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador led this Monday, September 16, the last Military Civic Parade of the Government of the Fourth Transformation to commemorate 214 years since the Cry of Independence of Mexico, the 5th Anniversary of the integration of the National Guard and the Bicentennial of the Promulgation of the Federal Constitution of the United Mexican States of 1824.
The ceremonial act began at 10:00 a.m. with the transfer of the President and supreme commander of the Armed Forces from the National Palace to the honor device in Mexico City’s Zócalo, accompanied by the Secretaries of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, and of the Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán.
After the hoisting of the national flag and the interpretation of the anthem “Canto a la Bandera”, T-6C Texan and PC-7 Pilatus aircraft of the Mexican Air Force drew a tricolor wake. The president reviewed the troops aboard the Humvee presidential vehicle.
Together with President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Dr. Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller and members of the Legal and Expanded Cabinet, he listened to the results of the National Defense and Navy Secretariats during the Government of the Fourth Transformation.
They highlighted the work of internal security, aid and assistance to people in natural disasters or emergencies and social works aimed at the country’s progress, such as the construction of sections 5 north, 6 and 7 of the Mayan Train, Mayan Train Hotels, the Inter-Oceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico and Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum, Quintana Roo; 2,750 branches of the Welfare Bank and the Islas Marías integral project.
