#ISSSTE.- The general director of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), Bertha Alcalde Luján, indicated that the inauguration of the new Hospital Clinic (CH) in Palenque, Chiapas, guarantees the right to health and is part of the transformation project of the entity in the state.

Accompanying President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo during the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Federation of Chiapas to Mexico and supervision of priority projects in Palenque, he informed that more than 686 million pesos were invested in the construction of the new medical unit and it is a vindication with the people with the greatest shortages.

These efforts “materialize the essence of the Fourth Transformation and Mexican humanism, which implies prioritizing those who have the least, the indigenous communities, the historically forgotten”.

He detailed that the CH has 21 consulting rooms, an operating room and an expulsion room. In addition, it has specific areas for obstetrics, surgeries, emergencies and advanced diagnostic tools such as mastography, X-rays, ultrasonography, tomography and laboratories.

It houses two fundamental services for the treatment of the diseases with the highest mortality rate in our country: heart and kidney diseases.
