#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- He said that so far only material damages and damages due to the accumulation of debris and materials that came down from the highlands have been reported.

The mayor explained that on the night of September 15, the atypical rain that fell mainly in the high zone of the Sierra de Guadalupe washed away mud, stones and branches in neighborhoods such as Tierra Blanca, Mesa de Leones, Parque Residencial Coacalco, Nuevo Laredo, El Tejocote and the first part of San Cristobal Centro.

He reiterated that after suspending the Independence Day celebrations so as not to expose the attendees, the first crews of municipal government employees were integrated to remove the debris that was concentrated in the streets Vicente Villada, Juarez, Nicolas Bravo and Morelos Avenue, in the first square of the municipal capital.

Palacios Alvarado indicated that the accumulation of water in the dams located in the Sierra de Guadalupe and the intense rain that hit the municipality in recent days, caused the downpouring of bronze waters that dragged various materials to the communities located in the foothills and the lower part of the natural reserve.

For his part, the director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Jesus Miranda Cardenas, said that after activating the emergency plan thousands of officials integrated the incident command system in which the staff of the various areas of the government of Ecatepec participates.
