#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, Municipal President of Atizapán de Zaragoza, visited Colonia Ampliación Emiliano Zapata to deliver to the neighbors the construction of the pedestrian bridge located on Miguel Hidalgo Street, at the corner of Cuarta Cerrada de Doroteo Arango.

Excavation, fine-tuning and compaction of the stumps for the construction of a retaining wall made of rough stone were carried out there.

The supply and placement of steel beams and galvanized sheet steel, the manufacture and placement of a metal handrail and then a reinforced concrete pavement were also carried out.

“We are working with the support of Public Works to rehabilitate that stretch, because we knew that it was a work that deserved the urgency to be repaired,” explained the Mayor.

This because, he said, the Atizapán water agency, that is, Servicios de Agua Potable, Alcantarillado y Saneamiento de Atizapán (SAPASA) is attending to other situations that are also a priority.

“We could not wait for SAPASA to have the budget to carry it out because they are focused on the issue of trying to provide them with water with the pipes, there was no budget to carry out the work and, however, entered (the Directorate) of Public Works to try to rehabilitate,” added Rodriguez Villegas.

“I assure you that about three meters were in the air, that street was no longer supported.”

Now, the pedestrian bridge not only connects two physical points, but also brings people together, facilitates mobility and promotes safety for those who travel the street.

It also provides safer and more efficient access to key areas and will promote a more accessible environment.
