#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- He added that 200 tons of garbage were also collected, among which were furniture and household items from the homes into which the water and mud had entered.

The mayor indicated that in the five affected neighborhoods, the work was completed in its entirety; while in the Las Venitas sand pit, only 15% remains to be cleaned up to conclude the cleanup work.

He detailed that only in the first square of the municipal capital, belonging to the San Cristobal neighborhood, a thousand tons of generated material were collected; in the Tierra Blanca neighborhood and the Las Venitas sand pit, 70 tons of garbage and debris were collected; in addition to 90 tons of mud collected in the Nuevo Laredo neighborhood.

Palacios Alvarado acknowledged that in the El Tejocote neighborhood, in the limits with Parque Residencial Coacalco, 2 thousand 290 tons of debris and rubble were collected, due to the fact that this community was the most affected by the rains. While in the town of Guadalupe Victoria only 70 tons of debris were removed.

He reiterated that in a second stage, after concluding the cleaning work, municipal government personnel conducted a census in the affected areas to know the number of homes affected and thus be able to make the necessary arrangements so that these families can have support.

The mayor thanked the support and effort of hundreds of Ecatepec’s public officials, who joined the work for the benefit of Ecatepec’s families.
