Work begins on the construction of a bicycle lane in Toluca >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- This Friday, personnel from the bidding company began work on marking out and measuring the cycle path on the Isidro Fabela road in the municipality of Toluca.

As part of the first stage, which includes Paseo Tollocan towards the Solidaridad Las Torres road, workers began to delimit the spaces for the lanes where bicycles will circulate, one for each side of Isidro Fabela, which will have a minimum width of one and a half meters.

In addition, in accordance with what was agreed with the merchants of this road, space for parking spaces is considered, as well as loading and unloading bays, ramp spaces for people with disabilities, as well as curbs, access to homes, pedestrian crossings, bus stops, and signs in the more than four and a half kilometers that the work contemplates.

The widths will vary, depending on the requests that have been requested from us. Parking spaces, loading and unloading bays and some neutral zones are contemplated. We will have a cycle path (one lane on each side), parking spaces, and vehicle traffic lanes,» said one of the project’s executors.
