#SRE.- As part of the process of transforming mobility in the State of Mexico, the Government of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, through the Secretariat of Mobility (Semov), signed a provisional participation agreement with carriers from the Valley of Mexico, to carry out the phased implementation of a medium capacity public transportation service that will cover the route Zumpango-Central de Abastos, in Ecatepec, through Bicentenario road.

Daniel Sibaja González, Secretary of Mobility, commented that from October 7th to November 12th, a pilot test will be carried out and according to the results, the corresponding administrative requirements will be made in order to grant the respective concession.

He commented that this action seeks to reorganize public transportation in the area, reduce the emission of polluting gases, renew the vehicle fleet, standardize and simplify fare payment, promote sustainability in the municipalities, reduce travel time and provide reliable service.

“It has been proven that if we do things right, such as these corridors, people will do better, because they will have greater safety and there will be a better service; the drivers of the transportation system will have a guarantee of safety, which will allow them not to fight for fares, they can even be paid better because there will be better income and people will be given a more dignified service,” commented Sibaja González.

On the other hand, Ricardo Delgado Reynoso, Undersecretary of Mobility, indicated that the corridor will provide greater security to users and carriers, since there will be coordination between the municipalities and the Government of the State of Mexico, it will be monitored through the C-5 of the Secretariat of Security, panic buttons will be installed and they will be properly illuminated.
