No cases of “Simian Smallpox” in the State of Mexico, report epidemiological authorities / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of Mexico ruled out the presence of cases of Mpox, known as “monkeypox”, in the State of Mexico, after several press reports alluding to the presence of patients with this disease in public sector hospitals in the State of Mexico.

After an investigation by the Department of Epidemiology of the Institute of Social Security of the State of Mexico and Municipalities (ISSEMYM), it was reported that there is no record of people hospitalized due to Mpox so far in the year 2024.

The Government of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez remains attentive to any situation in this regard and continues with the pertinent preventive protocols in favor of the health of the people of the State of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico announced that, according to protocol, it carried out sanitization actions in its facilities as a preventive measure.
