Head of Sectur heads a delegation of 244 public servants in affected areas of Acapulco / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, heads a delegation of 244 public servants of the agency to strengthen the cleaning brigades in streets, schools and homes of the colonies Parque Ecológico de Viveristas, El Coloso, Jardín Princesa and Colosio of the port of Acapulco, affected by the passage of Hurricane Jonh.

Rodriguez Zamora informed that public servants from the General Directorate of Tourist Services “Angeles Verdes”, as well as from the National Fund for Tourism Development (Fonatur), who provide free support in cases of natural disasters, roadside assistance and tourist orientation to users on the highways, joined this working group.

Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Tourism, Sebastián Ramírez Mendoza, the head of Sectur highlighted the coordinated work that has been maintained between the three orders of government and private initiative, to consolidate the early recovery of the municipality of Acapulco.

He mentioned that on instructions from President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, several meetings have been held with the governor of the state of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado Pineda and her work team, to coordinate actions to clean up and reactivate the port of Acapulco.

“We are committed to restore its splendor to this destination and to guarantee the well-being of all the families that depend on tourism, let’s achieve it together!” he assured.

He stressed that this morning President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, reiterated her commitment to the state of Guerrero after the passage of Hurricane John, instructing the Ministries of Tourism and Economy, as well as Fonatur “to continue with all the work that was being done to rescue Acapulco, in coordination with the private initiative, to support with everything necessary for the recovery of the port.”
