COBAEM promotes the art of speaking through a public speaking contest 2024 / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- Displaying the art of the word and discursive argumentation, students from the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de México (COBAEM) participated in the Oratory Contest 2024, an activity that highlights academic talent.

The Government of the State of Mexico, through the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI), promotes this type of competition for students to develop critical and humanistic skills with a comprehensive vision.

The SECTI, headed by Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, promotes actions of this type to meet the objectives that Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez encourages, so that students from Mexico can develop in activities that motivate them to develop in different academic fields, thus enriching their school preparation.

This event, held at the facilities of Plantel 06 Toluca, brought together the 11 finalists who participated in the internal contest held in the 83 academic units that make up the COBAEM.

Among the main reflections of the speakers were the struggle for gender equality, the importance of leadership in youth and the responsible use of information and communication technologies.

Juan Carlos Santillana Pastrana, Academic Director of COBAEM, expressed that these cultural meeting spaces strengthen the principles of the New Mexican School (NEM) in the entity, making visible the efforts to work in a comprehensive education with applied knowledge for the benefit of the community.

To culminate the contest, Vanessa Silva Hernandez, student of Plantel 18 Ixtapaluca, was awarded as first place winner, so she will represent COBAEM in the National Oratory Contest 2024 “Xicohténcatl Axayacatzin”, corresponding to the Subsystem Colegio de Bachilleres of the country, to be held on November 14, 2024 in the state of Tlaxcala.
