#GobiernoDeMéxico.- In the framework of the High Level Summit between leaders and businessmen from Mexico and the United States, to be held this October 15 at the National Palace with the presence of 240 businesswomen and businessmen from both countries, the President of the United Mexican States, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, gave certainty that the reform to the Judicial Power strengthens the rule of law and guarantees that all investments that come to the country are safe.
“Today we are going to have a very important meeting with businessmen from the United States and Mexican businessmen, businesswomen as well, which is a dialogue, a business panel that Marcelo (Ebrard, Secretary of Economy) has been working on for several months now and which is very important because of the interest we have in continued investment by businessmen, companies from the United States in our country to advance in what is called the relocation of companies and the strengthening of the trade agreement we have.
“It is important to resolve any doubts, that they know that the reform to the Judicial Power strengthens the rule of law in Mexico, that their investments are safe in our country, that they hear it from us, that they know that we are interested that they come to invest under a development plan», he added.
He recalled that the reform to the Judicial Power is necessary to eradicate corruption and nepotism -recognized by the president of the Supreme Court- that exists within the institutions that impart justice, so it does not represent any risk for Mexico to continue receiving all types of investments.
“No U.S. businessman, no company from any other country, nor Mexicans, have any reason to fear the reform to the Judicial Power, on the contrary, what we are going to do is to clean up the Judicial Power, and I am not saying us as the Executive Power, but the people of Mexico; the Judicial Power will be cleaned up to strengthen the Rule of Law”, he highlighted.
