#SRE.- The Government of the State of Mexico, led by Delfina Gómez Álvarez, is committed to metropolitan, interconnected and multimodal electromobility, which is why it plans to build four mass transportation projects and strengthen private investment, according to Daniel Sibaja González, Secretary of Mobility of the State of Mexico.

During his participation in the VII edition of the Latam Mobility & NetZero Forum, Mexico 2024, he informed that the Government of the State of Mexico plans to build, in the short term, Line III of the Mexicable, from the Izcalli Chamapa neighborhood to the Mexipuerto Cuatro Caminos, in Naucalpan; As well as the Mexicable that will go from the municipality of Nicolás Romero to La Quebrada, in Cuautitlán Izcalli, which will also be interconnected with a new Mexibús line with a route to the El Rosario Metro, in Mexico City, with the aim of strengthening an integral mobility system.

He added that, in addition to these projects, there are also plans to extend the Metro Collective Transportation System to Ecatepec and to conclude work on the Chalco-Santa Martha elevated trolleybus, which will be accompanied by a network of feeder public transportation routes.

The Secretary celebrated that, for the first time in history, the State of Mexico and Mexico City are moving forward in terms of mobility, with the implementation of the Movimex card, with which users can board the Metro, Metrobus, Cablebus, Mexibus and Mexicable.

At the event, he explained that mixed investment is being promoted, with the participation of the State and the private sector, with the objective of providing a decent transportation system for users. In this sense, he pointed out that to date there are two trusts to renew the vehicle fleet with environmentally friendly technologies.

Finally, before the members of the panel “Perspectives for Sustainable Mobility in Mexico in the New Six-Year Term”, where investors and representatives of electric transportation companies participated, he pointed out that the State of Mexico is open to private investment in mobility to generate a new development pole in the north of the State.
