Governor Delfina Gómez invests 700 million pesos in machinery and rehabilitation of highways in the State of Mexico / @Edomex >>>
#EstadoDeMéxico.- In the framework of the Roadsmen’s Day, Mario Ariel Juárez Rodríguez, General Director of the Junta de Caminos informed that the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, will invest 300 million pesos for the rehabilitation of roads and 400 million pesos for the acquisition of machinery.
“The Governor made a very important announcement of 300 million pesos for the Junta de Caminos to be able to go hand in hand with the rehabilitation of federal and state highways and with the agreements we are making as Junta de Caminos, the municipal ones,” said Ariel Juárez Rodríguez.
Accompanied by María Eugenia Rojano Valdés, Secretary of the Countryside, the General Director of the Junta de Caminos said that the 400 million pesos will be used to acquire machinery, which will be added to the Plan de Rehabilitación de Caminos Saca Cosecha de la Secretaría del Campo.
On behalf of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, the head of the Junta de Caminos acknowledged the work done by the road workers to keep the roads and highways of the state in good condition, sometimes risking their lives, and for this reason, with this new administration they were provided with the necessary tools to do their job.
Being a “caminero” or “caminera” is a mark of pride and dignity for those who every day perform fundamental tasks to keep the roads in good condition. There is someone who sees the work that the Board is doing and that is the Governor, that is why they are all given this benefit so that they can perform their work better,” said the Director General of the Junta de Caminos.
During this commemoration, awards were given to road workers for 15, 20, 25, 30 and 50 years of service.
The Day of the Road Worker is celebrated in Mexico every October 17, in recognition of the work performed by the workers who build and maintain the country’s highways. The date was established in 1925.
