Mexican government holds inter-secretariat working meeting on migration issues / @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- This Friday, an inter-secretariat working meeting of the Mexican Government was held at the Ministry of the Interior to address the migratory phenomenon in Mexican territory.

The meeting, headed by the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, was attended by the Secretary of National Defense, Ricardo Trevilla Trejo and the Secretary of the Navy, Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles.

Likewise, the Undersecretary of Security, Héctor Elizalde Mora, and the Undersecretary of Human Rights, Population and Migration, Arturo Medina Padilla; the head of the Unit for Migration Policy, Registration and Identity of Persons (UPMRIP), Carlos Antonio Vázquez García; the commander of the National Guard (GN), Hernán Cortés Hernández, and the commissioner of the National Migration Institute (INM), Francisco Garduño Yáñez.

The purpose of these inter-secretariat work meetings is to coordinate the tasks carried out by federal government agencies to continue with a policy of regular, orderly and safe mobility of migrants.

Among the topics discussed were: attention to migratory groups, the current situation of irregular migration management, coordination with other nations and the repatriation of Mexican nationals within the country.
