#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The Constitutional President of the United Mexican States, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, celebrated that the election of judges, magistrates, ministers and ministers of the Judicial Branch will be a reality, after the resolution of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) to declare viable the electoral process organized by the National Electoral Institute (INE).

“The election continues, and there is nothing that can stop it, because there is already a resolution from the Electoral Tribunal and the National Electoral Institute itself has already issued a statement; there will be counselors who respond to the interests of the PRI or other interests, but there is a constitutional reform, there is recognition by the court that the election must continue, and the INE issued a statement that says: ‘The election of judges, magistrates and ministers, of judging persons, goes on.’ The election goes on, it is the will of the people of Mexico,” she said during the morning conference “The morning press conferences of the people.”

He asserted that the TEPJF resolution clarifies that the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) has no legal interest in electoral processes, which gives certainty to the people of Mexico that during this process of drawing lots a completely new and transparent Judicial Branch will be opened.

“At the moment in which the Judicial Branch is elected by the citizens, then we will have a better rule of law, it is something to be applauded. The Judicial Branch will be better —the one we have from September— than what we have now, where there are judges, male and female, who, in order to defend an interest, publicly and notoriously violate a law. So, we are building a better country and that is the result of the conscience of the people of Mexico and that today the legislators, male and female, and the President have a popular mandate that we respect. So, it is a good time for Mexico.

“So now it will not depend on a judge, a female judge, a small group or a magistrate or a minister, the president of the Republic, the president or the Senate; the vote of the wealthiest person will be worth the same for electing a judge as that of the most humble person; and who will the judge answer to? What we want from the people is for corruption to end,” he added.
