Governor Delfina Gómez supervises works at “Benito Juárez” market in Chiconcuac / @delfinagomeza @Edomex >>>
#EstadoDeMéxico.- During a work tour in the eastern region of the State of Mexico, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez supervised the rehabilitation of the “Benito Juárez” market in the municipality of Chiconcuac, a project with an allocation of 30 million pesos, as part of the Public Works Program 2024.
During the works, 1,718 direct and indirect jobs will be generated; once completed, the market will have 156 stores and will benefit more than 73 thousand people.
With this work, Governor Delfina Gómez dignifies the work of the merchants, boosting the local economy and tourism, since this market is a reference point for supply, basic consumption and a must for national and foreign tourists who come to Chiconcuac, a municipality known for the quality of its wool fabric, considered Mexico’s economic and cultural heritage.
The new sanitary and hydraulic facilities will offer higher quality services and allow for risk prevention. Meanwhile, with the rehabilitation of the roof, finishes and the rearrangement of stores, merchants will be able to offer a better service and experience for visitors and shoppers.
Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez was accompanied by Carlos Jesús Maza Lara, Secretary of Urban Development and Infrastructure; Agustina Catalina Catalina Velasco Vicuña, Municipal President of Chiconcuac; Rafael Vázquez de la Rosa, Mayor Elect of this municipality; as well as tenants and beneficiaries of the “Benito Juárez” market.
