Celaya’s Director of Economic Development meets with the COFOCE team / @municipiocelaya >>>

#Celaya, #Gto.- The director of Economic Development of the Municipality of Celaya, Ricardo Contreras Soto, received the sectorial director of Industries and Services of the Internationalization Commission, Cendy Márquez Gutiérrez, from the Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator, COFOCE, to learn about the programs it carries out.

The COFOCE representative commented that the Municipality of Celaya ranked second in exports in the state in the first semester of 2024, only after Silao, with 3,138 million dollars, which clearly shows the importance of our municipality in commercial activities abroad. Hence the importance of continuing to promote the export of products.

At the table, activities such as the promotion of micro-entrepreneurs in various sectors were presented, which has been done and can continue to be done, through training and support, so that they can also begin to export and obtain better results from their businesses.

The Director of Economic Development, Ricardo Contreras Soto, expressed the municipality’s interest in supporting micro-enterprises in their development and promoting collective work, which allows the people of Celaya to improve their quality of life.

Cendy Márquez said that they have been able to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem where small producers are associated to be able to export together; she cited the case of molcajetes producers developed in Comonfort, which has been successful.
