Coordinated work in Sinaloa consolidates tourism activity in the state / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, made a working tour of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, where she assured that, with coordinated work, this tourist destination, witness to the richness of our culture and the transforming power of tourism, will continue to shine.

Accompanied by the state’s Secretary of Tourism, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, and by the municipal president of Mazatlán, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) held a meeting with 40 businessmen from Sinaloa’s tourism sector to present the public policies that the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will apply for the proper development of tourism.

He commented that he recently had a meeting with Graeme Clark, Canada’s ambassador to Mexico, to discuss the great relationship that unites both nations in terms of tourism; and to address the concerns of his country in terms of security for Sinaloa.

She also met with Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, to jointly develop protocols for dealing with travel alerts in markets that send tourists to Mexico.

The head of Sectur highlighted the importance of tourism, a force capable of transforming destinations, preserving our heritage and improving the quality of life of communities; in Sinaloa, the impact of this activity is very significant and Mazatlán leads the state, with more than 20 thousand rooms and an annual economic revenue of more than 18 billion pesos.

He reiterated the comprehensive vision of shared prosperity that guides the tourism policy of the current administration headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, which seeks to distribute the benefits of tourism in an equitable manner.
