#SE.- The Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, presented today the results of the operation to combat merchandise illegally introduced and distributed in the country, which took place yesterday in Mexico City.

Accompanied by officials from Mexico City and the Government of Mexico, the Secretary of Economy emphasized the importance of collaboration at all levels of government for the success of operations such as the one carried out in Izazaga 89.

I would like to express my gratitude for the presence and above all the participation of the government of Mexico City in the beginning of this operation that we have called “clean-up” with respect to piracy and illicit contraband in the historic center, but it will be operating throughout the country, for the time being here in Mexico City,” he said.

Ebrard Casaubon thanked the Chief of Government, Clara Brugada; the Secretary of Government, César Cravioto; the Secretary of Public Security, Pablo Vázquez; the Secretary of Finance, Juan Pablo de Botton and the different agencies of the Mexico City government that were a substantive part of this operation.

He acknowledged the joint work of the Secretary of the Navy, who was represented by Rear Admiral Rafael Lagunes, “thank you for being here, we invited the Secretary of the Navy in a coordination effort because, as you know, the Secretary of the Navy is responsible for the Airport and Ports”.
