#EstadoDeMéxico.- In order to guarantee a fairer present full of opportunities, and as part of the work in the territory promoted by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Juan Carlos González Romero, Secretary of Welfare, delivered 6,531 baskets of the Indigenous Childhood with Welfare program to 2,177 beneficiaries, that is, three to each child.
In this sense, he specified that before the end of 2024, 96 thousand baskets will be delivered to benefit 16 thousand children between three and 15 years of age, which is part of the commitment with the citizenship to ensure that the aid reaches those who really need it, so that those who receive it grow up with adequate nutrition, energy and security.
He explained that the program consists of the bimonthly delivery of a food basket containing food and cleaning products, which contributes to the economy of Mexican households.
During this delivery, a space was opened to listen to the opinion of the children, where Emiliano, María, Liliana, Juan Pablo, Ana Fernanda, Naomi, Estefani and Guadalupe, expressed their gratitude and sent greetings to Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.
During this event were present: Manuel Quiñones Flores, in charge of the Executive Office of the State Council for the Integral Development of Indigenous Peoples of the State of Mexico (CEDIPIEM); Jimena González Valdés, Regional Delegate of Welfare Programs; Vicenta Sánchez Valdés, Mazahua indigenous spokesperson for CEDIPIEM; Iván Marín Rangel, Federal Deputy; and Jaime Mercado Chávez, Municipal President of San José del Rincón.
