#EstadoDeVeracruz.- In her first message to the people of Veracruz, Governor Rocio Nahle presented her administration’s tourism strategy “Veracruz is in fashion,” an initiative designed to boost tourism as a key driver of economic and cultural development in the state.
“Tourism and culture will be the axes to transform our state. We are committed to making tourism a lever for development that will allow us to project ourselves as an attractive destination on a global level,” he said.
In December, the “Despide al Viejo” (Farewell to the Old Man) campaign begins, an event that sets the tone for festivities and displays. In January, Veracruz will be the protagonist at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, promoting one of its emblematic products: coffee.
In February, the Candelaria celebrations in Tlacotalpan and the traditional Carnival of Puerto Jarocho, two of the most awaited events of the tourist calendar in the region, are anticipated.
In March, the 26th edition of Cumbre Tajin will be held, followed in April by the state’s presence at the Tianguis Turístico in Mexicali and the New Orleans International Jazz Festival.
He also announced the 13 Cultures Festival and the International Salsa Festival, in May and June, respectively. Both are of international stature and are intended to highlight cultural diversity.
In July, the first will be dedicated to the bolero “Agustín Lara” in Tlacotalpan, while in Coatzacoalcos, the Sea Festival and the fifth edition of the Costa Esmeralda in the northern zone.
