Young creators present musical proposals in the scenic garden / @cultura_mx >>>

#Cultura.- As part of the Foro Nacional de Creadores 2024, which takes place from December 11 to 15 at the Jardín Escénico del Centro Cultural del Bosque and at the Complejo Cultural Los Pinos, the concert Composición de música acústica, electroacústica y con medios electrónicos (Composition of acoustic, electroacoustic and electronic music) took place.

Constanza Garvaís with Sirena moderna; Odín Zamorano with Centauro del norte-Atila del sur; Arturo Morfín with Homunculus; Eduardo Partida with Tratado de la respiración and Alfonso Olguín with Homoacústica. Inmersión sonora al cuerpo humano, are the young participants in this session held at the Laboratorio de Creación del Jardín Escénico del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL), an instance of the Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México.

Constanza Garvaís’ piece, Sirena moderna, is a reduction of four electronic music compositions and tells the vocal story of the creator herself. “It is an honest work, as part of my history and my own body,” she said.

Odín Zamorano presented a movement that alludes to the funeral of Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata, from a work in progress called Centauro del norte-Atila del sur, which arises from a research on symphonic bands in Mexico, particularly those from Sinaloa. The composer is currently working on a musicological thesis on the music of our country.
