#EstadoDeMéxico.- In an unprecedented effort to guarantee dignified and safe educational spaces, the Government of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez allocated more than 1.2 billion pesos to improve and modernize the educational infrastructure through 600 works, at least two, in each of the 125 municipalities of the State of Mexico.

This was reported by Miguel Angel Hernandez Espejel, head of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI), highlighting that the improvement of schools and the opening of new educational spaces are a reflection of the humanistic spirit of the New Mexican School (NEM), which places the welfare of students at the center of educational policy.

In the first year of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez’s administration, more than 600 educational spaces were built, 233 construction works and 210 rehabilitation works were carried out, directly benefiting more than 149 thousand students of all educational levels.

These actions included the construction of classrooms, laboratories, workshops, dining halls, courts and sanitary modules, as well as the supply of furniture and school equipment at strategic sites.

Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel emphasized that these actions create an environment that becomes a tool for freedom and social progress, where education ceases to be a privilege and is exercised as a full right for all.

The educational infrastructure built and rehabilitated during 2024 is a reflection of the constant effort of the Government of the State of Mexico to guarantee that the children and youth of Mexico have access to a modern learning environment full of opportunities for a better academic, scientific and technological development.
