#SEP.- The Secretary of Public Education (SEP), Mario Delgado Carrillo, presided over the installation of the Academic Council for the Transformation of Higher Technological Education, whose purpose is to improve, expand and update the educational offer at this level and make it more attractive to ensure the permanence and continuity of young people, all with an inter-institutional work.

In the presence of representatives of public agencies, academic institutions and private initiative, the head of SEP commented that, for President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, one of the priorities in the education sector is the strengthening of Higher Secondary Education, so the reform to this school level will be the most important in the last 30 or 40 years.

For this reason, he said that they will work jointly with the Ministries of Economy (SE), Labor and Social Welfare (STyPS), and the new Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (Secihti), since this collaboration will be the key to achieve the transformation of Higher Secondary Education.

He highlighted that the objective of the Academic Council for the Transformation of Higher Education is to work and present a different educational offer in the federal subsystems for the next school year.

He commented that important progress has already been made with the Common Curriculum Framework for Higher Education (MCCEMS), which should be reflected in the absolute portability of all subjects, of the curricula approved by young people, regardless of the subsystem where they study.
