First stage of the recovery of the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway is 82 percent complete / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretaria de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) and Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE) inform that the first stage of stabilization and recovery of the 230+400 section of the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway will be completed by the end of January.

Also, they specify that at the moment the works of this initial phase register the removal of 126,954 cubic meters of materials, with the help of half a hundred workers, 12 excavators, 5 tractors, 3 brigades of drilling and explosives, 2 articulated trucks type “Yucle” and a backhoe.

The first stage of the work will conclude with the operation of a provisional road of almost 500 meters long with 2 lanes and an average speed of 40 kilometers per hour, mainly designed to resume the traffic of vehicles and cargo transportation that usually circulates on this federal highway.

Even though this road is temporary while the works of the second stage continue, it will have all the safety, surveillance and accident prevention measures required by the regulations of the SICT, as well as CAPUFE as the agency in charge of the operation of the road.

The programmed date to conclude the works corresponding to the first stage that will allow the reopening of the vehicular circulation through a provisional road is at the end of the present month of January.

The second stage of works for the recovery of the layout and speed of operation of the highway, as well as mechanical containment works, is scheduled for the last day of April.
