CESPE reports good response in regularization of water service arrears in Baja California / @BCGobierno >>>

#BajaCalifornia.- A total of 13,115 users were benefited with the Decree of Condonation of Fines and Surcharges in the water service issued by Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda.

The director of the Ensenada State Public Utilities Commission (CESPE), Alonso Centeno Hernandez, said that the decree was effective for the last quarter of 2024 in order to provide facilities so that those who for some reason were in debt, were in a position to pay their water bill.

Users interested in taking advantage of the benefits went to the different CESPE branches to regularize their current account; of which 7,711 paid in cash, obtaining 100% discount on fines and 100% discount on surcharges generated by the lack of timely payment of water consumption.

In addition, 5,404 opted for regularization through an agreement that will allow them to cover the amount of their debt in installments of up to 12 monthly payments, with a 100% discount on fines and a 75% discount on accumulated surcharges for failure to pay on time.

The head of the water utility said that, in addition to promoting the regularization of water service arrears, these actions are in line with the commitment to support families in vulnerable situations, as well as businesses, industries, institutions and other non-domestic users.
