#SICT.- The Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) and Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE) report that the rehabilitation work on the 230+400 section of the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway, section B, is 96 percent complete.

During a tour of the work, progress was noted, such as: the removal of 147 thousand, 455 cubic meters of material in the landslide zone, which will allow the start of operation of the provisional passage in the coming weeks.

This provisional crossing is 500 meters long with 2 lanes, and will resume the circulation of vehicles and cargo transportation at an average speed of 40 kilometers per hour.

Officials of the SICT and CAPUFE stated that this work already has the concrete barrier for the protection of the provisional road.

Drainage, excavation and placement of a 1.20 meter concrete pipe will begin this week. The preparation of the pavement structure and gabion wall will be carried out next week, said officials of the Secretariat and CAPUFE.
