#SECTUR.- Within the framework of the celebration of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2025, the Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, announced that Mexico confirms its participation as a partner country in this tourism fair in the 2026 edition.

From Madrid, Spain, she commented that this will allow Mexico to have a privileged position to showcase its tourist attractions at a global level, which will also be combined with the promotion strategy for the celebration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He highlighted that, in this sense, Mexico’s cultural, natural and gastronomic wealth and excellence in tourism services will not be limited to being exhibited at the IFEMA fairgrounds, but the essence of Mexico will also be present in the streets of Madrid and other parts of Europe, from March of this year until January 2026, with intense activations that will highlight the traditions, typical dances and popular art of our beautiful country.

On the other hand, during the Mañanera del Pueblo, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) praised Mexico’s outstanding participation in the first annual event for world tourism professionals, Fitur, where the country has the largest pavilion in the Americas, a space full of color, gastronomy, handicrafts and great tradition, which on its first day was attended by more than 5,000 members of the international tourism sector, particularly from the European market.

He thanked Altagracia Gómez Sierra, coordinator of the Regional Economic Development and Relocation Advisory Council, for her support in important forums, where the vision of social, community-based, competitive and innovative tourism has been presented.
