SICT-CAPUFE comply with the opening of the provisional road on the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretaria de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) and Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE) inform that as of 07:00 hours this Friday, January 31, the provisional road at km 230+280 of highway 150D Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza will be opened to vehicular traffic.

In order to guarantee the safety of users and prevent accidents in the area, a surveillance operation headed by the National Guard and technical personnel from both agencies will be deployed.

As committed by the Mexican Government, through the SICT and CAPUFE, the section in question will be duly reopened within the agreed term.

Approximately 154,822 cubic meters of material and rock were removed, with the use of modern drills and specialized equipment for handling low intensity explosives, as well as heavy machinery.

As it will be recalled, a displacement of the hill caused the total blockage of highway 150D Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza, km 230+280 body B that connects with Puebla and Veracruz, at the end of October 2024.
