SICT agrees with trucking companies to identify vehicles traveling on federal highways / @SICT_mx >>>
#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that, in a joint strategy with the trucking industry, permit holders will carry out the identification of vehicles traveling on highways and bridges under federal jurisdiction.
In a Notice published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), which will take effect as of tomorrow, the SICT, through the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport (DGAF), points out that highway safety is a high priority issue.
“Hence the need to implement actions with the participation of authorities, the trucking sector and the general population, with the purpose of protecting users on roads and bridges under federal jurisdiction.”
For this reason, the permit holders will carry out the identification of the vehicles that circulate on the highways and bridges of federal jurisdiction, this being understood as “beaconing” of the federal transportation units in their different modes.
The marking must be carried out within 90 calendar days from the day following its publication in the DOF. And it will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the technical annex, which is available in the following electronic links:

The Notice is addressed to permit holders, chambers, associations, federations and confederations of federal freight, passenger and tourism trucking and auxiliary services.
