Government of Guerrero promotes economic development in Mezcala and Xochipala with the signing of an agreement with the mining company Equinox Gold / @Gob_Guerrero >>>

#EstadoDeGuerrero.- With the objective of promoting investment and social development in the central region of the state, a Temporary Occupation Agreement was signed between the communities of Mezcala and Xochipala and Equinox Gold Unidad Minera Los Filos.

With the presence of the Undersecretary of Political and Social Development of the General Secretariat of Government, Francisco Rodríguez Cisneros, and the Mayor of Eduardo Neri, Sara Salinas Bravo. Both officials highlighted the importance of this agreement as the result of an open and constructive dialogue between the parties, where the community’s welfare and respect for the environment were prioritized.

This agreement will allow the temporary use of community land for the company’s mining activities, establishing a framework of collaboration and mutual benefit.

Representing Equinox Gold Unidad Minera Los Filos was the Senior Vice President, Armando Fausto Ortega Gómez, and the General Manager, André Souza de Amorim. Also in attendance was the local deputy and president of the Mining Commission, Citlali Yaret Téllez Castillo.
