#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, presented the National Road Infrastructure Program 2025-2030 with which, initially, 4 thousand kilometers (km) will be intervened with an investment of 173 billion pesos (mdp) for the expansion and major maintenance of roads throughout the country with the aim of connecting the most vulnerable areas.

“These are road expansion and major maintenance of many roads that we have been visiting, particularly the most vulnerable areas of the country. So, it is a very interesting and very important program,” he said.

He specified that the mobility infrastructure program complies with the principle of “for the good of all, first the poor”, since it will strengthen economic development and improve the living conditions of those who need it most.

“We dedicate a very good part of the resource to the most vulnerable areas, ‘for the good of all first the poor’. So the infrastructure project has to do with connecting the country to strengthen economic development and improve people’s living conditions, and at the same time attend to those areas that have the greatest need,” he said.

The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, said that for the intervention of the 4 thousand kilometers (km) of highways, an investment of 173 billion pesos (mdp) will be made to carry out 126 km of continuity works; close to 3 thousand km of highways catalogued as priority axes; the construction of 18 bridges and mixed investment projects under the Construction, Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Operation (CMRO) model, where the Mexican Government has the largest percentage.
