#CuautitlånIzcalli, #EstadoDeMéxico. – The Municipal Government of Cuautitlán Izcalli through the Unit of Attention and Animal Welfare (UABA), invites those who are looking for a pet and are committed to their care, not to buy and better adopt responsibly to give a second chance to a dog or cat.

Berenice Guzman Rodriguez, head of the unit, explained that those interested only have to visit the unit and present their INE, proof of address, a photograph of the place assigned for the pet inside the house, a photograph of the front of the house taken from the front sidewalk and fill out a letter of commitment to responsible adoption that is given to them at the UABA.

He said that once these requirements are fulfilled, “they can choose their new friend to commit to and take home with the certainty that it will become an important part of their joys and family moments”.

He acknowledged that in recent years animal welfare has been greatly promoted and the vast majority of people prefer to adopt a pet instead of buying to give a second chance to these animals that sometimes are street or have been abused by their previous owners, so they are channeled by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (PGJEM), or by the Attorney General’s Office for Environmental Protection of the State of Mexico (PROPAEM).
