Azucena Cisneros presents Red Violeta to eradicate violence against women / @azucenacisneros @Ecatepec >>>

#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- “Never again will the women of Ecatepec be alone,” said Mayor Azucena Cisneros Coss when she announced the Violet Network, made up of 10,000 volunteers who will provide support to victims of violence, and the creation of a digital application to assist in real time those who face dangerous situations, among other actions.

The municipal president of Ecatepec also announced the “Ecatálogo”, which is a directory of institutions and areas of attention to women, and the realization of the “Week for Equality and Dignity of the Women of Ecatepec”, to be held on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, which includes discussions, talks and cultural and artistic activities.

“Here the people opted for a Government of Change with Honesty, whose vision is determined by equal rights and opportunities. Women’s time has come and there will be no more indolence or indifference to women’s issues”, she assured.

She recalled that for the first time Ecatepec has a female municipal president and the Governor of the State of Mexico and the President of the Republic are women, which is historic and of great relevance.

Cisneros Coss acknowledged that Ecatepec registers high levels of domestic violence against women, in addition to the fact that the municipality faces two Gender Alerts, for femicide and disappearance, so urgent measures are needed to combat the situation.

She said that the Violet Network will be integrated by “10 thousand women community leaders who will be our eyes and our hands in the support and accompaniment of women who are suffering gender violence”, whose main objective is to address from the root causes that generate gender violence.
