Libia Dennise agrees with the President of Mexico on actions to reinforce the collaboration strategy to build peace in Guanajuato / @LibiaDennise @gobiernogto >>>
#EstadoDeGuanajuato.- The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, after meeting at the National Palace with the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and her Security Cabinet, said that «there is good news for Guanajuato. Today we propose a new vision and strategy of mutual collaboration. We are ready to continue building peace for our state together.»
She added that «We will continue working to strengthen coordination in strategic areas, and today I had the opportunity to present Guanajuato’s actions and results and also to present to the President the areas of opportunity we see in collaboration between both levels of government.»
The Governor stated that during this meeting, both she and the President made it clear that the goal is to reduce the incidence of homicides linked to organized crime in the state, and that a significant decrease has already been seen in March, a trend that must continue and be sustained. To this end, the full willingness of both governments to establish very specific strategies in the 10 regions into which the CONFÍA strategy divides the state was evident.
“Today, it was stated that the vision we are implementing is the correct one, and that there is agreement on the purpose, with greater operational presence, intelligence, and investigation to continue striking decisive blows. We have also requested greater participation from the National Migration Institute to monitor the entry of foreigners who come to the country with the purpose of engaging in criminal activities, as well as a strengthening of ties with the SAT and the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance.”
«In the coming days, we will receive the Secretary of National Defense, General Trevilla, and the Secretary of Security, Omar García, in Guanajuato to continue working together,» said Libia Dennise.
During this meeting, the Governor of the People presented the progress made during her administration in security matters, such as the renewal of the security and law enforcement areas; she also highlighted the deployment of FORTALEZA GUANAJUATO and the Mixed Cells, the operations, seizures, and searches in which 1,086 perpetrators of violence have been handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office during this new administration’s term; and the seizure of 445,850 liters of hydrocarbons and 65,370 liters of hydrocarbon derivatives, totaling $10,700,400, which represents a significant blow to the financial structure of criminals.
