#Monterrey, #N.L.- In front of students, parents, administrators, and invited authorities, this Wednesday, the Mayor of Monterrey, Adrián de la Garza, recognized the efforts of the Student Congress «Mexico: Voices and Colors of Our Land,» organized by the Nuevo Colegio Israelita located in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood.

The mayor attended as a special guest at the academic-cultural event, which honors and disseminates the traditions and historical and social richness of the peoples of Mexico and Israel.

«It’s a very important act to constantly remember where we come from, who we are. It’s essential for us to grow, not only culturally, but as human beings,» the mayor commented.

At the Congress, the Gran Orquesta de Monterrey performed a series of typical melodies from our country.

For the mayor, the combination of educational activities with educational processes strengthens the learning of children and young people, because they learn about the roots that give us our identity as Mexicans and become more sensitive to Mexican culture, enhancing their sense of community.

“Congratulations for commemorating and also recognizing our roots, our culture, what shapes us, what makes us, what has made us,” the mayor told them.
