#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) will implement various preventive actions on federal highways and bus terminals during the Easter 2025 holiday period, from April 11 to 27, 2025, to provide greater safety for users and prevent accidents.

Public servants from the General Directorate of Protection and Preventive Medicine in Transportation (DGPMPT), the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transportation (DGAF), and SICT Centers participate in this program, in coordination with members of the National Guard.

The DGPMPT, through Operation 30 Delta, will verify the physical and mental integrity of drivers, with the support of 17 medical units distributed at nine mobile highway points identified by their accident rates, as well as at bus terminals.

The medical examinations include a general inspection, a deliberate questioning, an assessment of vital signs, ocular, osteotendinous, and psychomotor reflexes, a cardiac examination, detection of alcohol intake, assessment of signs of fatigue, and detection of substances of abuse.

For their part, the DGAF and the SICT Centers will conduct inspections of Federal Motor Transport units during Weight and Dimensions and Physical-Mechanical Conditions inspections on federal highways, to verify that federal motor transport vehicles comply with the maximum weights and dimensions established in the respective regulations.

Likewise, the physical and mechanical conditions of buses will be verified at the main bus terminals in the 32 states, in accordance with the procedure established in the Mexican Official Standard NOM-068-SCT-2-2014. This strategy will focus primarily on inspecting the brake system, wheels, rims, and tires. With these actions, the SICT reiterates its commitment to preventing accidents on federal highways during this holiday period, for the benefit of users.
