#SE.- On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the EXPO Tampico Convention Center hosted the 1st National Forum on the 2030 Agenda: SDGs 1, 8, and 10. The event exceeded all expectations, bringing together more than 1,100 participants from all sectors and five northeastern states (Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Nuevo León, Coahuila, and Chihuahua), consolidating its position as a turning point in the territorial implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Mexico.
Organized by the Executive Secretariat of the National Council for the 2030 Agenda and the Government of Tamaulipas, the forum was solemnly inaugurated by a high-level presidium led by the Executive Secretary of the National Council for the 2030 Agenda, Ismael Ortiz Fernández, representing Secretary Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon; Ninfa Cantú, Secretary of Economy of Tamaulipas, representing Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya; and Héctor Ochoa Moreno, Director General of the National Coordination of the 2030 Agenda; accompanied by representatives of the Senate, federal and state ministries, the UNDP, business leaders, and representatives of civil society.
During more than ten hours of intense activities, the forum featured a comprehensive program with six keynote addresses and ten thematic panels, addressing issues ranging from the social economy, youth, biodiversity, and human rights to technological innovation, smart cities, and the energy transition.
