#Irapuato, #Gto.- With the goal of providing safe and peaceful spaces for citizens attending religious celebrations, which are largely concentrated in the central area of ​​the municipality, personnel from the Citizen Security Secretariat will implement operations and measures.

As part of the operation, the Municipal Civil Protection and Fire Coordination will provide roadside assistance to people making the pilgrimage to the city of Salamanca on Holy Thursday. As part of this preventive measure, a command post will be set up near the Rancho Grande neighborhood to coordinate operations.

Likewise, Israel Martínez Negrete, Coordinator of Civil Protection and Fire, emphasized that during Holy Week, a command post will be set up in the central area, which traditionally sees a high influx of visitors participating in religious celebrations.

“As every year, we know that the city’s main square is where most of the churches are located, and it attracts the greatest influx of people. As every year, we will set up a command center there. We will have paramedics and operational personnel patrolling this type of Stations of the Cross, and we will be supporting the spectators. We will be checking the churches and issuing the corresponding flags,” he stated.

The head of the area urged those attending these activities to stay hydrated, avoid exposure to high temperatures, avoid attending if they have health problems, and not neglect minors.
