The Carretera Real del Monte-Huasca takes you to the magical towns of Hidalgo / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- During the Easter holidays, explore the magical towns of Hidalgo on the new Real del Monte-Huasca highway, recently put into operation by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT).

It provides a fast and safe connection to the Huasteca region of Hidalgo, as well as to the municipalities of Mineral del Monte, Omitlán de Juárez, and Huasca de Ocampo, the latter being the first to receive the Pueblo Mágico designation.

The 9.8-kilometer project, inaugurated in February by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the head of the SICT, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, ensures an economic, social, and tourist impact in the region.

It is a category A4 highway, with two lanes in each direction, three tunnels, six viaducts, two interchanges, and an emergency ramp.

It includes the 208-meter Mineral Tunnel, with a four-lane exit road leading to Pachuca and, along with other structures, equipped with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for fire prevention, lighting, and security systems.
